Tess Lucassen was born in 1989 in The Netherlands.
From 2001 till 2007 she studied Theatre Dance at the Conservatory in Enschede.
Afterwards she continued her dance education at Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy.
From 2008 till 2012 she studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts, graduating in 2012, Dance Bachelor of Arts. During her time in Essen she danced in productions of i.a Henrietta Horn and Rodolpho Leoni. After receiving a Performance Grant Scholarship from Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, she joined the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company for a Masa Program in september 2013. There she developped her own work , worked on new productions and studied the works of Artistic director Rami Be’er. Since 2014 she has been collaborating with artists in Germany and in The Netherlands.
